Jala Yoga is based right on the border of QLD and NSW, which can be confusing during daylight savings. Jala Yoga runs on QLD time always, regardless of in person or online appointments.
Do you offer mobile Yoga Classes or Massages?
Mollie rarely travels outside of Currumbin/ Palm Beach, and operates predominantly from her space in Currumbin. However, due to the trauma-informed nature of her practice, she is open if the client has a mental health or chronic health complaint that prevents them from training. In this case, she travels around the Gold Coast, with a $20* travel fee surcharge. (*This fee increases if the location is over 25km from Currumbin, and varies depending on travel time).
Does Jala Yoga offer Corporate classes?
Absolutely. Mollie can come herself if she is available, otherwise she can send one of the Jala Yoga training graduates that best suits your needs. Email [email protected] directly to inquire.
How do I purchase a gift card?
Contact mollie directly via [email protected] to arrange a gift voucher. The shop to purchase gift vouchers is coming in 2022!
Does Jala Yoga accept/ work with NDIS?
While Jala Yoga cannot offer direct rebates, she is happy to liaise with your case manager looking after your NDIS case and work out the best plan to arrange payments/ rebates. Historically, she provides invoices and/ or receipts for you to pay, and then submit manually to your case manager who arranges your rebate.
Can I claim yoga on my private health fund?
This will really depend on your provider. Some providers offer rebates, so it is worth talking to your provider about the inclusions in your cover. Though Jala Yoga cannot offer rebates directly, Mollie is happy to provide you with an invoice/ receipt for you to do manually with your provider.
I am working with an Allied health practitioner. Do you take referrals?
Mollie takes referrals from Allied health practitioners, doctors and specialists, and is happy to provide your health practitioner information with information specific to your practice if requested. She is also happy to liaise and take recommendations from your health practitioner as to what practices would complement your treatment plan with them, and work within her scope to support you on your health journey.
I have specific allergies to essential oils, are they used in class/ massages?
Mollie only uses essential oils when she is operating in a general manner and has permission from the client. If she is working specifically in a trauma informed manner, they are not used unless requested by the student.
In the context of massage treatments, please inform Mollie if you have allergies to certain massage oils. She uses high quality, organic coconut oil, and adds essential oils only if requested.
I am in a wheelchair, can I book in?
Absolutely you can, you will just have to arrange a private session in your home! Unfortunately Mollie does not own the property she operates from and cannot make changes to accommodate ramp access.
Mollie will happily drive to you and teach you Yoga in your space.
I am deaf / hard of hearing and require a microphone to be used. Is this something Jala Yoga can support?
Absolutely. We do not have any of the gear, but are happy to wear whatever is needed and supplied by you to be able to enjoy your practice.
Does Jala Yoga accept DVA cards?
Unfortunately Yoga is still not a service funded by the DVA. Mollie is a trained Warriors at Ease Yoga Teacher and iRest Yoga Nidra facilitator, trained specifically to support active duty/ veterans in their yoga practice. She can help you, and is happy to offer you a discounted session to thank you for your service. Email Mollie directly on [email protected] to discuss further.
What is the Jala Yoga Cancellation policy?
There is a 24 hour cancellation policy in place. All cancellations made in the 24 hour window (including no show to appointment) incur a 100% fee. If you cancel or reschedule outside of the 24 hour window, there is no fee.
Do I have to pay before coming?
Yes. Mollie operates the business this way to ensure that the people who book appointments are committed. She has waiting lists and books out in advance. Payment prior to appointment secures your appointment.
I am sick, can I cancel my appointment?
Given the current COVID climate, Mollie would prefer you cancel your appointment if you are unwell. She requires more than 24 hours notice otherwise the cancellation policy applies. In the circumstance you are unwell just before an appointment, please contact Mollie and she will decide if the policy bends to suit your situation.
What is the latest I can reschedule?
You must reschedule outside of the 24 hour window of your appointment to avoid fees. As Mollie has a waiting list, please give her as much notice as possible. You might have to wait a couple of weeks to get another appointment.
What if i am late?
Unfortunately Mollie cannot run overtime as she is booked back to back on the days she works with clients. If you are late, it cuts into your appointment time. If you are very late and decide not to come, you will still be charged for your appointment time.
Can someone else use my appointment?
If you cant make your appointment time and it is too late to cancel, you are welcome to give your appointment to a friend or family member. If they are new to Jala Yoga, they may be required to fill in new client forms. Please let Mollie know before the appointment.

Can I bring my child with me?
Mollie is also a Kids Yoga Teacher, so can skilfully include your mini into your Yoga practice if needed. However, it is a lot more relaxing for you to be able to come alone. Unfortunately there is no child minding service with Jala Yoga.
Are the classes in the online courses pre-recorded?
Yes, Mollie pre-records all of the videos included in the online courses. She employs videographers and sound technicians to ensure that the quality is as high as it possibly can be. Mollie speaks real time in the videos, instead of dubbed voice overs. This aids in your learning experience.
Do the classes in your online courses have music?
Mollie films the classes predominantly outside, and keeps the noises of the environment as the main noise. Any online courses filmed inside may have a light background song that runs for the duration of the class. The meditation recordings have the same song in the background. There are no words in the song.
Are the online courses trauma informed?
Mollie’s default teaching setting is generally trauma informed, but believes that there is a spectrum that ‘trauma informed teaching’ can exist. Her Toolkit for Peace program is the most trauma informed course on offer this far, followed by the Foundations of Yoga. She is also launching more specific trauma focussed courses soon!
Are the online courses beginner friendly?
Mollie offers options throughout each of the classes, and keeps online recorded classes to a medium level of practice to cater for all levels. If you are a total newbie to Yoga, you would benefit most from the Foundations of Yoga online course.
What do I need?
It goes without saying that you need internet to access the online courses. Mollie has designed the classes in a way where you don’t need much at all. You don't need props or yoga mats if you don't have them. You can make your own props with things you can find around the house :
If you need a yoga mat, you can use a towel
If you need a bolster, you can use a pillow
If you need a block, you can use a block
If you need a strap, you can use a scarf or towel
If you need an eye pillow, you can use a towel or piece of clothing
Do I get a refund if I don't like it?
Unfortunately there are no refunds available for online courses. Mollie would love your feedback however. Feel free to contact her to share your feelings about the course.

You have access to the course for 365 days, with your ending date being the date you purchased the course.
