  • This website is operated by Jala Yoga and provides information, tools, products and services. Please read through our terms thoroughly. By continuing to access Jala Yoga website, studio or events you are automatically agreeing to comply with and be bound by the following terms.
  • If you do not agree with these terms and conditions, you should not access Jala Yoga Services or Website.
  • Jala Yoga reserves the right to make changes and modification to the site, products, services, prices, policies, terms, conditions at any time at our discretion without notice. You should familiarize yourself with these Terms and Conditions and check for updates regularly. Your use of the site will be deemed as irrevocably accepting of any revisions.
  • Whilst we will make every effort to provide you with up-to-date information, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, reliability or timeliness of the Website or any reports or services provided through it, and we are not obliged to update the Website or correct any inaccuracies, which may become known to us.
  • You must not access or use the Website (i) in a way that violates these terms; (ii) for unlawful activities or purposes; (iii) in a way that is fraudulent, inaccurate, false, misleading or deceptive; (iv) in a way that violates any applicable law (including, without limitation, applicable privacy laws); or (v) in a way that infringes the rights of any other person
  • Any unenforceable or void provision, or part thereof, may be severed from these Terms and Conditions without affecting the validity of the remaining provisions.
  • These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and the parties submit irrevocably to the authority of courts having jurisdiction in Queensland, Australia.
  • These Terms of Use are to be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Queensland, Australia. If any term of these Terms of Use conflicts with the provision of any legislation of the Commonwealth of Australia or any State, that legislation will prevail. This Website may be accessed from outside Australia. We make no representation that the Content available through this Website complies with the laws (including intellectual property laws) of any country outside Australia. If you access this Website from outside Australia, you do so at your own risk and you are responsible for ensuring compliance with all laws in the place where you are located.
  • We are able to novate, assign, sub-licence or otherwise transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms and Conditions to a third party nominated by us provided the third party continues to fulfill its obligations to you under these Terms and Conditions. You agree that when we do so, the new party will assume our rights and obligations under these Terms and Conditions (in whole or in part) and you will release us from those rights and conditions under these Terms and Conditions.

General Terms 

  • You are required to treat all persons and property of Jala Yoga or its collaborating parties with due care and respect. Jala Yoga reserves the right to refuse entry to, or eject you from, any of our premises or courses at any time for any reason. We will refuse entry or eject you in the event that you are behaving in a disrespectful, intoxicated, disorderly, aggressive, offensive, violent or dangerous manner or in any manner that may be deemed as a safety threat to the team of Jala Yoga, our students or local community in which we interact with. 
  • All bookings and/ or enrolments in courses must be confirmed with Mollie of Jala Yoga before attending. 
  • You may be asked to present a valid photo identification (Australian driver’s license, passport or proof of age card will be accepted) to Jala Yoga upon entry to events or training programs. We reserve the right to refuse entry to persons without suitable photo identification.
  • While Jala Yoga endeavors to deliver services in accordance with agreed upon time and dates, the appointment time/ training program dates are subject to change or cancellation and we are not required to provide notice to you or such changes. We are not liable in any way to provide you with a refund, credit, transfer or to offer compensation of any kind. 
  • We reserve our right to change our opening hours of any services/ communication/ office hours on any given day without notice to you.
  • Clients must arrive no earlier than 5 mins before class start time and no later than 5 mins prior to the class. Late arrival is deducted from your appointment time. If you are late and decide not to attend your appointment you will be charged for the full amount regardless. 
  • When attending group events or classes, Students are not permitted to take notes as this can be disruptful to your Teacher and other Students. In training programs or private classes if context is correct, note taking is encouraged. 
  • Before or after Classes, Students are welcome to ask questions to their teacher, however please honour the Teacher's time and be mindful that if your question requires depth or an extensive answer it is best that you book a private session.
  • We are not responsible in any way for the safekeeping of your personal belongings that you bring to events/ training programs. As such, we strongly recommend that you: Refrain from bringing any valuable personal belongings to our events or training programs, such as mobile phones, jewellery, personal devices, wallets, bags and purses; and bring only any personal belongings to our events/ training programs which are absolutely necessary for you to possess for the duration of your visit.
  • You are not permitted to interfere or tamper with, steal, or cause loss or damage to, the personal belongings of Jala Yoga, or another Student or persons at the Studios. If you do so, we may cancel your enrollment/ session and all future appointments.
  • All teachers at Jala Yoga are qualified yoga instructors. Some are also allied health practitioners, however while teaching on behalf of Jala Yoga they are in the role of educators, and their professional services must be sought elsewhere if applicable, however, Psychological services are the exception to this. We strongly recommend that you pay close attention to the direction provided by an instructor during any of our Classes to ensure that your risk of injury or discomfort while participating in a class is reduced. You are responsible for your body, practice and experience. 
  • You must inform Jala Yoga and any instructors if there are any risks to your health by participating in yoga practice, including in a Class or training program, such as if you have a pre-existing injury, illness, muscle soreness/discomfort or are pregnant, prior to commencement (a “Medical Condition”). Where you have a Medical Condition, we require that you seek approval from a medical practitioner to participate in any of our Classes. Participating in any form of exercise with Jala Yoga, with a Medical Condition is done entirely at your own risk.
  • You acknowledge that our instructors may use tactile cueing and adjustment methods, or make physical contact with you for correction purposes in order to ensure that your yoga practice is undertaken in accordance with known practice methods, during Classes. The use of the Practice Methods is designed to maintain a safe yoga experience for you, deepen your learning of yoga and pilates, and to grow your capabilities for yoga practice. You can choose at any point for the teacher not to touch you, however this must be clearly communicated with the teacher.
  • Students are required to wear appropriate attire for physical exercise at all times while visiting a Jala Yoga event/ training program, and must refrain from wearing clothing which contains offensive prints or designs. This extends as far as avoiding wearing anything that has Sanskrit type writing as this is, generally and at times, a trigger for our Veteran community in acute phases of trauma recovery. 
  • Smoking is prohibited inside and out the front of our premises, and areas we operate from at any training program/ events. 
  • All who attend classes or training programs must be over the age of 16 years old, unless attending a child-specific yoga event or private class, in which case a parent/guardian must be present.

  • The Jala Yoga website and brand is unique to Jala Yoga. We have worked hard to establish the brand and take pride in our work. We work to protect our individuality, and are protected by the copyright laws of the Australian & International Government. 
  • Unless otherwise indicated, Jala Yoga owns all copyright of the material on the website. This may include but not limited to copyright, data, text, software, articles, blogs, vlogs, videos, images, graphics, photographs, trademarks, logos, interfaces, audio clips, digital downloads and other intellectual property (Content) on the website are the exclusive property of Jala Yoga and are protected by Australian and international copyright laws. Except for viewing the content for your own personal non-commercial use, Jala Yoga does not grant you any rights to use or sell the website or content for any other purpose unless it expressly consents in writing.
  • Jala Yoga respects the intellectual property of other organizations, and require the respect be reciprocated.
