Meet Kaitlyn — a qualified Yoga Teacher and graduate of the 2021 Jala Yoga® 350hr Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher Training. In this video, she shares her heartfelt experience of learning how to bring a trauma-informed lens to her teaching — and how it changed the way she shows up for her students, and for herself.
At Jala Yoga®, being trauma-informed isn’t an optional extra — it’s the foundation of everything we offer, whether it’s a massage treatment, a group class, a private session, or a professional training program.
In our 350hr Teacher Training, we support yoga teachers to grow beyond traditional methods — offering the skills, understanding, and language to confidently teach in a way that is inclusive, sensitive, and adaptable to the person in front of them.
Because trauma doesn’t look the same in every body.
And no two nervous systems respond in the same way.
As a yoga teacher, healthcare provider, or space-holder, it’s our responsibility to create environments that are safe, ethical, responsive, and empowering.
